Dennis Nethery is a retired Captain after serving 31 years with Louisville Fire and Rescue.
Thoughts of a burn foundation began after rescuing a 22 month old baby from a fire back in 1974. While visiting her in the burn ward he became aware of the treatments and surgeries involved as well as the cost associated with them. Six years after rescuing that little girl he had the opportunity to visit that little girl once more when by coincidence she was the roommate of his daughter when she was in the hospital with a back injury. She was having another reconstructive surgery as a result of her injuries six years earlier. mailto:dennis.nethery@erbf.org
